New Years Resolutions

January 9, 2017

I have been super busy, but it is finally time to post some New Year’s resolutions!  I think this is a great post for everyone to read because it is more about focusing on broad subjects; Feel Good, Be Good and Do Good.  Below I have the ways that I can accomplish these myself, but these three ideas are definitely customizable for each person.  Remember, New Year’s resolutions do not need to be impossible, but instead small ideas to try and help you leave a better life style during your day to day activities in the New Year.

Feel Good

Something I am going to try really hard to do in 2017 is make sure that I think about myself a little more.  I want to make sure that I am doing everything I can to lower my stress and worries.  Some ways that I am going to do this is by making sure I am buying fresh foods and eating as healthy as I can.  I also am going to try my best to set a decent amount of time for myself to work out.  Eating good and working out together will help reduce stress and have me feeling good.

Be Good

I am making it a resolution to be more patient coming into 2017.  Sometimes I find myself getting frustrated with the people around me or even myself.  Taking a few deep breaths and just listening or taking a little more time with something can also help reduce stress.  I also want to be slightly less critical of myself and of others.  I am very hard on myself and sometimes other too, but I have to realized I am only 21 so its the time to make mistakes and learn.  I think these two ideas are great ways that I can help myself be good.

Do Good

I always try to make this a New Year’s resolution.  Doing good, pertains to helping others, helping the needy, or even just doing better in aspects of my life (like my GPA in school for instance).  There are always things that can be better and there are hundreds of ways to “do good” in my community at the University of Illinois.  I do not think I take advantage enough of the chances to help or give to others.  I want to do good at my school and do good in the community.
I hope you all enjoyed this post and let me know what you are doing in the comments below to Feel Good, Be Good, and Do Good, in 2017!
