My Post-College Bedroom Remodel | Blush Pink

July 8, 2018

I am finally back to Classically Clad and so excited to show you my post-college bedroom remodel.  Some of you were asking why I stopped posting, so I am happy to say that I am back.  I will write a different post about other exciting things that have pulled me away from Classically Clad as well.

If you don’t follow me on Pinterest already, that is where you can see all of my pins that lead to the inspiration for my blush pink bedroom remodel.  Bedroom inspiration can be hard to come by within a store, and this is where Pinterest is a huge help.

Blush Pink Bedroom Remodel

Blush pink is a classy, timeless, and an elegant color that has been trending lately and I love it as bedroom decor.  My bedroom has always been my favorite space, even when I was at college, so my room needed to be perfect coming home.

Many of you may be wondering how I was able to afford a post-college bedroom remodel and I have a three part answer: patience, determination, and a vision.  I did not need a large budget to get this done and neither will you!

You need patience because you will not be able to remodel your bedroom for cheap if you only go to one store.  I have a mix of Marshall’s, Homegoods, T.J. Max, Target, Wayfair, Walmart, and H&M in this room. Plus, I waited for some things to go on sale before buying them!

This is where the determination kicks in.  You need to be set on spending a lot of time in these stores digging through their shelves.  Sometimes the stores listed above are not the most organized, but some determination and patience will get you places.

Lastly, a vision is what helps pull everything together.  I have spent the better part of three months pulling together this blush pink bedroom remodel.  Creating the perfect space does not happen overnight if you are on a limited budget and that is OKAY.

Another thing I want to add is that you need to work with what you have already.  I already had all my furniture, mirrors, and headboard.  Because of this, I needed to keep the gold and a touch a grey from my previous room.  I also bet you wouldn’t believe that my dresser is over ten years old.  It is amazing what a can of paint can do to out of date furniture.  Do not be afraid to do some DIY when you are on a budget.  Painting furniture can make it look more up to date.

I spent a lot of time trying to pull as many things from my bedroom remodel as I could.  I love when you can all benefit from the info I give and shop directly from here.  If any of you are hoping to remodel/redecorate your room, comment below!  I would love to hear your ideas or what you loved most about my blush pink post-college bedroom remodel.

Thank you for stopping over on Classically Clad.  It feels too good to be back!  Talk soon. xx.

Hi Cathy! I am sorry I am just seeing this comment. I got that chandelier from Home Depot! The actual one is discontinued. This is similar: https://bit.ly/35sdNZ6 Here is another one that I really like too: https://bit.ly/3kwCtns
